Last year, we received distinction as one of the largest providers in the country for Botox®, Juvéderm® and many other leading injectable treatments. What this means for you is that we offer unsurpassed experience, skill and know-how for superb injectable treatments and results.
Because your satisfaction drives us to provide the highest level of treatments, here’s a list of treatment tips provided by our expert injectors for achieving amazing results from your next injectables session.
At your consultation…
•Be honest! Share your concerns, the look you are going for, and what you’d like to avoid. Many patients fear looking overdone. Be assured that our injectors work carefully, taking into consideration your unique facial contours and anatomy to achieve the most balanced, flattering results possible. Natural-looking rejuvenation is an art, and our highly-trained injectors possess both the knowledge and skill to deliver your best results. You can help us achieve your goals by clearly communicating your needs.
The week before your treatment…
•Start taking arnica montana, an anti-bruising supplement, daily.
•Avoid making big plans for the days following your injectable session. Injectables are well-tolerated with minimal to no downtime. However, some patients experience swelling, bruising, or pinpoint bleeding in the hours following their session. Just to be on the safe side, clear your schedule so you can relax and ease into your results, giving any side effects time to subside.
The day of your treatment…
•Ice your treatment areas before, not just after your treatment. Ice curbs swelling, but it also shrinks blood vessels, reducing your risk of bruising.
•Continue taking arnica montana.
•Avoid alcohol, which can thin blood and increase risk of bruising. It’s also a good idea to avoid alcohol in the days following your treatment.
The week after your treatment…
Be patient. Botox can take up to a week or longer to reveal optimal benefits. While dermal fillers provide an immediate plumping effect, they can also cause swelling, which can interfere with your ability to accurately assess your results. It can take a few days to a week for swelling to fully subside. It’s also important to remember that it can take time for the dermal filler to settle into your facial contours. Don’t hesitate to call us with your questions and concerns, or to schedule a follow-up visit.
Two weeks after your treatment…
Visit us for a follow-up. We want to make sure you are satisfied and that your results are going as planned. We can always inject more, or provide other treatments or care, as needed.
