Should You Get CoolSculpting or Emsculpt (or Both?) Tulsa, OK

December 13, 2018 by Skin Care Institute

Here are the answers to your questions about non-invasive body contouring. We often get asked about our two leading non-invasive fat reduction treatments—CoolSculpting® and Emsculpt® body contouring. Some patients are confused about the difference between these treatments and want to know which treatment is right for them.

Let’s Answer Your Questions About Body Contouring

Why do you offer two non-invasive fat reduction treatments?
While it’s true that both CoolSculpting and Emsculpt can reduce fat without breaking skin, CoolSculpting and Emsculpt work differently and offer distinct benefits. If you are looking to reduce excess fat, CoolSculpting can reduce up to 25 percent of targeted fat cells in one treatment. Emsculpt reduces up to 19 percent of targeted fat cells, but it also builds muscle, making it an ideal option for toning, trimming, and tightening targeted areas of your body.

Which treatment is right for me?
CoolSculpting works for almost every area of the body, from a double chin to your thighs, to provide long-lasting fat reduction. CoolSculpting reduces up to 25 percent of fat cells per treatment. Emsculpt, on the other hand, is designed to providing toning and contouring for the abdominal and buttock areas by reducing fat and building muscle. We can help you determine the optimal treatment to meet your unique needs during your personal consultation.

How do these treatments work?
CoolSculpting disables fat cells by freezing them, whereas Emsculpt disables fat cells and builds muscle by targeting selected areas with stimulating electromagnetic energy.

How can Emsculpt actually build muscle?
Emsculpt literally stimulates your muscles with high-intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM®) energy, causing a type of intense and highly effective muscle contraction that isn’t achievable through regular exercise.

Is it true that CoolSculpting and Emsculpt involve little to no downtime?
Yes, it’s true that you can return your regular activities immediately following both treatments.

Is CoolSculpting or Emsculpt worth it?
Yes! These clinically-proven non-invasive body contouring treatments provide the extra help you need to achieve your body contouring goals. If you follow a healthy diet and exercise regimen and are struggling to improve a specific “trouble spot” of your body, CoolSculpting or Emsculpt may be the perfect solution.
